EMU: Jet Aerators For Cleaning Of Storm Water Retaining Basins

Jet Aeration System For Cleaning of Storm Water Retaining Basins

Long lasting rain falls and thaw periods supply storm water retaining basins with large quantities of mud and solids. The WILO jet aerotion system avoids that solids settle on the walls and at on the bootom of the basin and thus consequently cleans the stormwater retaining basin or the channels in the collector chamber.
By means of an air aspiration pipe and a specially designed system of nozzles and underpressure is poduced in the jet pipe. Consequence: The air drawn in is mixed with the water. The produced air-water mixtureis then put into the basin with high speed in horizontal direction. the cleaning process is started.

Advanteges:
  • Low investment costs
  • Installation possible in already existing basins
  • Fully automatic operation
  • No surges
  • Continuos outflow of the mud load
  • No Odorous annoyance by pre-aeration of the sewage
  • No anaerobic processes
  • Saving of energy cost due to intermittent service
  • easy to handle
