EMU: Megaprop submersible mixers

Low Speed Submersible Mixers WILO Maxiprop and WILO MegapropIn sewage treatment plants they are used for the suspension of solids and/or for the selective flow generation. In activating, anaerobic and denitrification basins low speed mixers prevent settling of activated sludge flakes, i.e. they stir them up and keep them in suspension. The backwards bent blades ensure a selfcleaning effect of the propeller even when there are long-fibrous solids in the liquid. The forces are distributed to three propeller blades when the WILO Megaprop is used, which results in the realization of a very high thrust and smoother running. This means that for special kinds of use the number of mixers can be decreased.
Maxiprop and Megaprop submersible mixers are installed and removed by means of a lowering device which is fixed at the bridge and at the floor. If the conditions are suitable also a tripod unit can be used. The advantage of this installation version is that no bridge is required. There is the choice between the following materials: galvanized steel or stainless steel.
